Landscape and nature photography workshops
For those of you eager to learn more about nature photography, I also offer workshops. Depending on your previous knowledge, you will be able to choose between different kinds of workshops. In this way I want to give beginners as well as more advanced photographers the appropriate training.
These workshops will consist of an early morning and late afternoon trip in the field and we will visit several locations, offering various photographic opportunities. By being out in the field before sunrise we will take advantage of the most beautiful moment of the day, paying extra attention to the quality and use of light. Furthermore, we will focus, among other things, on camera techniques, composition, exposure and the importance of preparation.
These workshops are made to fit your needs. Due to the small number of participants, I can focus on personal wishes. In other words, I will arrange these workshops to meet your photographic and educational wants and desires. In order to do so, I will contact you in advance to determine what you want to get out of the day.
Besides the workshops announced on my website, special workshops or courses for groups and organizations are available on request. All workshops can also be ordered as a gift voucher.
Landscape photography workshop Damme and Bruges
The human influence on the Flemish landscape is becoming increasingly apparent. This should, however, not always be seen as a negative development. During this workshop we will focus on the cultural landscape and visit the picturesque village Damme. This place is known for its beautiful streams: the Damse Vaart and the Schipdonck canal.
Landscape photography workshop Côte d’Opale
On this two-day workshop we will mainly focus on landscape photography. Besides reviewing the basics of photography, I will go into detail discussing and illustrating exposure, composition, importance of light, preparation and the use of filters in landscape photography.
Landscape and macro photography workshop Hallerbos
Every year from mid April, the Hallerbos turns completely purple and green with a thick carpet of thousands of Bluebells and fresh leaves of Beech trees. Every year, this unique spectacle attracts hundreds of hitchhikers and photographers from all over Europe.
Basics of nature photography workshop
This workshop is organized for the beginning nature photographer and offers instructions on the basics of nature photography, including aperture and shutter speed, exposure, histogram, composition and the use of a tripod. I will also go beyond the basics and provide a list of tips and tricks that will help to improve your photographic skills.
Light & land: workshop landscape photography and Adobe Lightroom
During this unique and intensive workshop Bart Heirweg and Piet Van den Eynde introduce you to the world of landscape photography and image editing with Adobe Lightroom.
Macro photography workshop
This workshop intends to explore the variety in macro and close-up photography as well as to demonstrate and practice creative techniques in the field. We will look at camera controls, shutter speed and aperture, exposure, depth of field and focusing. Furthermore we will also learn about field craft, which plays an immensely important role in close-up photography.
Landscape photography workshop Provence
The Vaucluse, a beautiful region in the heart of the Provence is confined by the Mont Ventoux in the north and the Luberon mountains and river Durance in the south. The landscape is a mixture of valleys, forested hills and mountains, vineyards and lavender fields and typifies “La Douce France”: a fantastic area, peace and quietness and good weather.
Autumn workshop
Autumn is by far the most fascinating and inspiring season for a landscape photographer. Nature is preparing itself for winter and forests transform completely, creating a beautiful colour palette of red, brown and yellow hues. This abundance of colours together with the ambiance and scents of autumn make this the most photogenic time of the year.
