Landscape and nature photography workshops
For those of you eager to learn more about nature photography, I also offer workshops. Depending on your previous knowledge, you will be able to choose between different kinds of workshops. In this way I want to give beginners as well as more advanced photographers the appropriate training.
These workshops will consist of an early morning and late afternoon trip in the field and we will visit several locations, offering various photographic opportunities. By being out in the field before sunrise we will take advantage of the most beautiful moment of the day, paying extra attention to the quality and use of light.
Furthermore, we will focus, among other things, on camera techniques, composition, exposure and the importance of preparation.
These workshops are made to fit your needs. Due to the small number of participants, I can focus on personal wishes. In other words, I will arrange these workshops to meet your photographic and educational wants and desires. In order to do so, I will contact you in advance to determine what you want to get out of the day.
Basics of nature photography workshop
This workshop is organized for the beginning nature photographer and offers instructions on the basics of nature photography, including aperture and shutter speed, exposure, composition and the use of tripods and filters. I will also go beyond the basics and provide a list of tips and tricks that will help to improve your photographic skills.
Landscape photography workshop Côte d’Opale
On this two-day workshop we will mainly focus on landscape photography. Besides reviewing the basics of photography, I will go into detail discussing and illustrating exposure, composition, importance of light, preparation and the use of filters in landscape photography.
One-on-one nature photography workshop
This one-on-one nature photography workshop is the ideal way to improve your skills. During this workshop you will get personalized instructions tailored to your interests and previous knowledge. I will show you what you need to know to get the shots that you want.
Macro photography workshop
This workshop intends to explore the variety in macro and close-up photography as well as to demonstrate and practice creative techniques in the field. We will look at camera controls, shutter speed and aperture, exposure, depth of field and focusing. Furthermore we will also learn about field craft, which plays an immensely important role in close-up photography.
Nature photography presentation
For small groups or organizations I also offer a presentation about the essentials of nature photography. I will discuss all the basics from aperture and shutter speed, depth of field, ISO to jpeg vs. raw. I will also talk about exposure, composition, light and the importance of preparation.
