Workshop Côte d’Opale

Workshop Côte d’Opale

This weekend I will be giving a two-day landscape photography workshop at the Côte d’Opale. There is still one place left for which I am now offering a 20% reduction. This workshop includes two days of photographic tuition, one night accommodation with breakfast and a packed lunch on Sunday.
If you would like to take advantage of this special offer, don’t wait any longer and subscribe now, there are only a few days left!
To get an idea of what to expect on this workshop, please check out my “recent work” portfolio as I have just added a selection of images which where all taken two weeks ago at the Côte d'Opale.
Next to the landscape photography workshops, I am also organizing two “basic nature photography workshops” one in March and one in September and a completely new “macro photography workshop” in April.

Furthermore my girlfriend and I just got back from London as one of my images of Corfe Castle won the first prize in the prestigious Wanderlust Travel Photo of the Year competition. Launched in association with The Independent the contest attracted more than 5,000 entries – making it the UK’s biggest travel photography competition. Being one of the winners, I will be going on a photographic commission to Quito in Ecuador and I will also receive a Nikon camera. To view all category winners and finalists in this year’s competition, visit www.wanderlust.co.uk/photocomp or read more about the contest on the Digital Photographer website.

I think it is pretty obvious that this winter has been a bit unusual. It has been quite cold at times, but more importantly we also had a lot of snow, compared to other years. For a landscape photographer this is a very welcome gift, as ordinary landscapes turn into something completely different when snow hides all distracting elements, giving us a minimalistic and monochromatic image. In winter, overcast days are common, so try to concentrate more on details in the landscape and create an intimate or abstract image. When the sun does break through, try to make the most out of it. Although I have been very busy, for the past two months – leaving me only a little bit of time for photography – I do try to get out when snow is forecasted. If you are interested in seeing what I have been up to, please check out the "recent work" portfolio.
