News update
It has been quite a while since my last post. Spring is always a very busy period for a landscape photographer, so whenever I wasn't giving a workshop, you could find me out in the field. Now that Spring is running to an end, I finally found the time to slow down a bit and give an update on what has been going on.
To start with, I will be making my first television presence soon. Upcoming Friday, the people behind the television program, '1000 zonnen', are joining me in the Langemeersen when I'm out photographing. Their program, '1000 zonnen' is looking through the lens of 12 photographers and tries to find out what attracts them in photography, what summer means to them and why they have chosen this particular place as their favourite spot. At the end of the summer a professional jury will select one of us as the winner. So if you would like to see me on television, make sure you don’t miss ‘1000 zonnen’ on television channel EEN on Thursdays at 1.35PM or at 7.40PM. More information about the program can be found here: http://www.een.be/programmas/1000-zonnen.
I already mentioned that Spring has been quite busy: nature is changing very fast so if you don't want to miss too much of it, you don't get much time to settle down. I spent the whole of Spring in my own country, visiting a few new places and although last year I thought I wouldn't make another image in the Langemeersen, I spent quite some time there too. With some pleasing results, I believe. Anyway, if you would like to see a selection of my latest work, you can visit my portfolio.
Furthermore, I am organizing a special nature photography workshop on the 29th of August for all of you who previously participated in one of my workshops. The main purpose of this workshop is to further assist you to develop your photographic skills and help you with the problems you might still have. Participation for this workshop is free, but limited to those who already took part in one of my workshops before. If you would like to find out more or if you wish to subscribe for this workshop, please visit: http://www.bartheirweg.com/nl/workshops/gratis-workshop-natuurfotografie. Places are limited so don't wait too long!
Next to that, there is also a 'basics of nature photography' workshop planned for the 12th of September and for those who are really interested in seascapes, don't miss the Landscape photography workshop at the Côte d'Opale on the 4th and 5th of December. For this workshop I am offering the next three subscribers a free copy of my 2010 Landscape Photography calendar.
Finally, there is also the possibility to participate in one of my 'One-on-one nature photography workshops' if you want a personal approach.
So that's it for now. Remember that I will be visiting Ecuador from the 2nd until the 22nd of July. Since I will only sporadically be able to access the internet, I will probably not be able to answer much of my correspondence. For those with questions about the workshops and other things, I will try to get back to you as soon as I’m back in Belgium.
