About Bart Heirweg

I have been an amateur Wildlife & Nature photographer for a few years now and I feel that I have reached a point where my hobby has turned into an overwhelming passion. As I realized that one should always try to fulfill one’s dreams, my ambitions to professionalize myself as a nature photographer no longer knew boundaries. This passion is actually rooted in my childhood, as I grew up at the countryside, I was constantly surrounded by nature. Soon I developed a vast interest in nature and wildlife and this only grew.

When realizing I wanted to hold on to these moments and share them with other people, I turned to nature photography. This immediately became a new passion of mine, as it opened up a whole new world of possibilities.

When photographing, I finally find the peace and quiet I so miss in today’s world. It is especially when I am able to get close into their worlds and actually connect to them that I finally feel ‘one with nature’. Everyday again the beauty of nature surprises and delights me: photography is my way of sharing this unique feeling with others.
